Powershrink UV Resistant Shrink Films and Tapes

Shrink-wrap plastics have a number of important characteristics that make them superior to older techniques using tarpaulins or canvasses. The shrink-wrap plastics fit more tightly around objects, reducing or eliminating wear and tear in windy conditions. The plastics can be welded together onsite through the use of the same handheld heat guns used to shrink the films, and combined with the use of the recommended shrink tapes, they can offer barriers to water, dust, vermin and other contaminates. Unless otherwise noted, all our plastic films are UV-resistant for at least 12 months of outdoor exposure. Our films are made from Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) providing an effective barrier to moisture.

Large surface area films are packaged as folded sheets rolled onto a core for easier handling and dispensing. Under-Raps recommend the use of either a fixed roll dispenser or our mobile film dispenser (URTO-090).

Under-Raps is committed to providing products that impose a minimum burden on the environment. Our plastic films are manufactured from virgin oils, we do not use recycled plastic. Since the plastics are of a high quality, they themselves can be recycled through bulk plastic recycling operators. Additionally, the majority of our plastic films are Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), containing no chlorine or other toxic chemicals, allowing for safe disposal in landfills or approved incinerators. They are completely safe for handling, requiring no special precautions such as gloves for handling, and there are no toxic chemicals requiring special clean up for operators after handling.
