Tapes
Under-Raps sells tapes specifically for use with the heat shrink films when wrapping up objects or building temporary containment structures. Each tape has different characteristics determine where and how the tape is used. The main characteristics are:
Glue Strength? – Glue strength is important. High strength glues may be hard to remove or leave residues when removed. Low strength glues may not be strong enough to withstand transport conditions.
Waterproof? – Important for transport and storage, especially for sealing welded plastic seams.
Low Residue? – How much glue residue does the tape leave when removed? For wrapping applications, low residue is important, especially when sealing plastic edges to painted surfaces.
UV Resistant? – UV resistance is important for medium- to long-term open air storage.
Heat Shrink? - For heat shrink applications, can the tape also be shrunk?
